The Minnesota Secure Choice Retirement Program will be launching in January 2026.
Employer Enrollment Phases

| 50 to 99 | July 1, 2026 to Dec. 31, 2026 |
| 25 to 49 | Jan. 1, 2027 to June 30, 2027 |
| 10 to 24 | July 1, 2027 to Dec. 31, 2027 |
| 5 to 9 | Jan. 1, 2028 to June 30, 2028 |
Employers will be required to enroll in the Minnesota Secure Choice Retirement Program by the last day of their phase but will be provided an opportunity to explain why they qualify for an exemption once they have been contacted about participating in the program.
There will be a pilot program in December 2025 for covered employers of all sizes. Email secure.choice@state.mn.us to participate.
